Musical honours

Ten of the country's best music teachers were recognised at the Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year awards this week. Chris Brook, from Thomas Cowley High in Lincolnshire, was named secondary music teacher of the year, and Brian Cripps, from Glenfall Primary in Gloucestershire, received the primary title. They were presented with their awards by Andrew Adonis, schools minister, in a ceremony in London.
