A new, easy-to-use website which allows children to create their own sampler designs on-screen and then print them out, has been launched by Fife Council Museums with the East of Scotland Digital Resources Team.

www.simplysamplers.org was created to complement the touring exhibition Simply Samplers, which opened at Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery last month and will travel to venues in the east of Scotland during the year. It features 23 samplers embroidered in Scotland between the late 18th and early 20th centuries and held in the collections of East of Scotland museums. A detailed selection features on the site.
