Needy at risk

Children face a longer wait to see an educational psychologist because of a shortage of training places, the British Psychological Society says.

Professor Pam Maras, president of the society, said training places had been halved. Aspiring educational psychologist Deirdre Folan said: "It will affect vulnerable children with a significant shortage in three years."
