New chair for TEC

Mrs Stella Pirie has been appointed chairman of the Western Training and Enterprise Council. She is only the second woman to be appointed TEC chairman in the UK and the first to head the board of a TEC in the South-west. She has been a WESTEC main board member for five years and will replace retiring chairman Pat Hall.

Mrs Pirie currently chairs engineering firm Endeavour International Ltd and the Bristol-based GWR radio network.
