Hoorah, the DFES is launching Teachers' TV in the autumn. bet you can'twait. The newdigitaltelevision channel plans to broadcast a whopping 18-hours a day and shows will include "provocative general interest" programmes and professional development material. Thereil also be a makeover show, where dull classrooms are transformed over a weekend, and, more worryingly, a stand-up show for so-called 'funny teachers", All of which led 'Times' columnist Caitlin Moran to suggestthe following slogan forthe new channel: "Teachers' TV broadcasting 18-hours a day.
