(Photograph) - One of the last pieces in the immensely complex jigsaw that comprises the new Museum of Scotland, opened in Edinburgh this week by the Queen, will be the education Discovery Centre, which will receive its first school parties in January. The centre features the interests and activities of Magnus, a 10-year-old museum visitor "created" by members of the museum's junior board (none is older than 14). Sue Mitchell, the museum's education officer, says 400 teachers have attended briefings and school bookings are now being taken. Photograph by TOM FINNIE
