Blackboard update

Virtual Learning Environment provider Blackboard has announced an update for its flagship software. Blackboard Learn Release 9.1 is free for teachers already using the software, and new features include lesson planning and standards alignment tools. The update also aims to provide better integration with collaboration tools, such as wikis, and multimedia sources, such as YouTube and Flickr.

Calling DT teachers

Registration for the Design and Technology with ICT show opens this month. The event runs from November 18-20 at the NEC in Birmingham and will feature exhibitors, seminars and activities on how design and technology teachers can use ICT. For more details and to register, go to
