No direct ConneXion

30th June 2000 at 01:00
WHILE it is flattering both to me and the Careers Research and Advisory Centre to be described as responsible for the implementation of the ConneXions initiative (TES, June 16), it should be pointed out that this is in fact a Government initiative.

The concern about budgets referred to is thatthe costs of the new elements of the service need substantial additional funding, if the quality of the service for all young people is to be sustained, as we believe it must be.
