Northern College makes the grade

NORTHERN College in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has received a glowing report following inspection by the Further Education Funding Council. The college, whose principal Professor Bob Fryer, chaired the Government's committee on lifelong learning, was awarded five grade 1s and two grade 2s, putting it among the country's top five colleges.
