A teacher in Florida claims she has been sacked for moonlighting as a "bikini mate", dishing out drinks on a local fishing boat.
Tiffany Shepherd, 30, who worked as a science teacher in St Lucie County for four years, took a second job last month as a waitress on fishing charters - a new service for those who want to combine fishing with scantily clad women, according to ABC News.
"I wasn't making enough money," Ms Shepherd said. "This was perfect because I could get paid to fish. It was easy money. In two days' fishing I make more than I do in a week teaching."
She claims that her school did not share her enthusiasm for the job. "They're under the impression I'm doing a topless charter, that I'm a stripper. I wasn't doing anything wrong. I wasn't in a thong; I was in a regular bathing suit," she said.
While arranging cover for a hospital appointment, she said she was told the school would not be renewing her contract.
A school district spokeswoman said the decision had nothing to do with Ms Shepherd's bikini- mate work. It was because she had taken more than 30 days off work, for which she had already received two written warnings.
