Plumpton College in East Sussex is offering free taster courses in a range of vocational subjects to Years 10 and 11 pupils. The courses will run in June.

Boy band JLS presents the BrookJLS Young Person of the Year award to 18-year-old Sufyaan Patel from Blackburn. Sufyaan has volunteered for more than 500 hours, advising young people on sexual health, substance misuse and bullying.

Westbourne Primary School in Bradford raised over #163;80 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People with its Wacky Glasses Day. The school has been awarded an Inclusion Chartermark by Education Bradford.

Buckler's Mead Community School in Yeovil held a road safety awareness day. In a reconstruction, the local fire service removed a victim, played by a student, from a car crash.
