Monkey business

The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement has launched Monkey's NHS Primary Explorers pack, in which the lovable character introduces children to emergency and urgent care services, while offering advice on how to stay healthy and safe at home and at school.

Be a nature detective

Capture pupils' imaginations this spring and explore the natural world with TES partner the Woodland Trust's Nature Detectives activities. Prize pets

The winners of PetSavers' national digital photography competition have been announced. Zoe Jervis, 14, a pupil at St Mary's School in Colchester, won second prize. The competition asked entrants to capture their pets' "priceless moments". Zoe was the runner-up in the under-16 category and her photograph starred her pet guinea pig, Bert.

Inspiring Science

To coincide with Brain Awareness Week (11-17 March) and National Science and Engineering Week (15-24 March), TES partner the British Library is running a series of events to celebrate science. Inspiring Science includes university-style lectures in which A-level pupils hear from experts.
