MORE on Grimsby MP Austin Mitchell's wife: Linda McDougal is fighting back, refusing to recant a word of her outburst against the town's much-maligned schools. (You'll recall she said she wished she'd never moved to Grimsby because the schools are so terrible.) Now under attack is Grimsby Evening Telegraph education reporter Chris Millar, whose paper has kept the row simmering in the interests of public debate. "You horrible little man from the North - printing these horrible things about me," she chides Chris.

"I wouldn't mind, but I'm from Notting Hill Gate," he murmurs.
