The number of national vocational qualifications awarded by the end of 1995 topped 1 million by the end of 1995, latest Government figures show. Only one-in-five were at level 3 (A-level equivalent) which count towards the national targets for education and training. However, the rate of growth is increasing with 7,000 more full awards compared with 1994.
