THE OFFICE for Standards in Education has unveiled plans to subject every childminder in the country to a visit from one of its inspectors. An early-years' diretorate within OFSTED - already dubbed "OFTOT" - is to take over the job of regulating childminders from local councils under the Care Standards Bill.
