Olympic school

Summer schools should run Olympic-themed activities to get pupils interested in maths and other subjects, the Government has recommended.

The Department for Education and Skills has published a list of suggested educational activities relating to the games, which start in Athens today.

Ideas include getting pupils to count in Greek, learn the words to different national anthems and plan journeys to the Olympics.
