One-hour sceptic

6th February 2009 at 00:00

That students pass a GCSE after one hour ("GCSEs taught in 60 minutes", TES, January 30) says more about the kind of "knowledge" required to pass a GCSE than the success of the teaching technique or the nature of the learning. If this is what our education system has come to, it's a sad day.
