A tale of two foes as pay deal nearly topples giant (1 July)

Some reasonable points made but drowned out by the absolute nonsense of the passage - "He (EIS general secretary Ronnie Smith) has also had the good fortune to work with some of the most politically astute presidents in recent years: Dougie Mackie, Sandy Fowler, David Drever and Kay Barnett." Tell that to the supply teachers who have taken a 47 per cent cut in salary or the conserved salary postholders who were lied to by their EIS leadership about lifetime conservation during the McCrone vote.

checks for cross-border teachers (1 July)

English pensions strife looks set to hit Scotland (1 July)

`It's not a case of what school to go to, but what country' (17 June)

l "But the gloom is not uniform, (you report). In many of the Nordic countries the recession and the financial crisis seem scarcely to have been noticed." Not part of the EU and oil rich.
