Online poetry readings

9th December 2005 at 00:00
A new online initiative called the Poetry Archive has been launched, aiming to ensure that all significant poets of the English-speaking world are recorded for posterity reading their own work.

It will also contain historic recordings by poets. The archive will be accessible to anyone in the world, enhancing the enjoyment and understanding of poetry. Users will be able to listen to extracts from the collection and view interpretative and background information, including wide-ranging education resources, free of charge.
