A project to encourage primary-age inventors is being launched this week.

Cracking Ideas, run by the UK Intellectual Property Office, will use animated inventors Wallace and Gromit to highlight the importance of independent innovation. Individuals have been responsible for inventions such as the clockwork radio and Meccano.
