Overseas registration

The General Teaching Council for Wales wants all instructors and overseas-trained teachers in schools across Wales to be officially registered. Instructors with special qualifications or experience are allowed to stand in for classroom teachers without being regulated by a central body. Around 100 instructors and a small number of teachers trained outside the European Union are teaching unregulated in Welsh classrooms.
