Parents jailed for false imprisonment of head

A COUPLE have been jailed for holding a headteacher prisoner after she sent their daughter home for wearing a nose-ring. Diane and John Bell were sentenced to nine months for false imprisonment last week. They sneaked into Francis Coombe school, Garston,near Watford, entered headteacher Sylvia Moore's office with their daughter Maxine, aged 12, then verbally abused the head, subjecting her to threats and intimidation. Mrs Bell had already been banned from the school.
