Michele Sinclair, formerly deputy head of the Malling School, Kent, is the new head of Sackville School, Hildenborough, Kent.

Patricia Macauley, formerly head of financial development for the NHS Executive for England, has been appointed chief executive of AIDS Care Education and Training, a charity providing a Christian response to HIVAIDS.

The Shaftesbury Society, a provider of special needs education, has appointed Fran Beckett as its chief executive. She was formerly director of the society's urban action division.

Richard Mallett, formerly general manager of the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain, has been appointed to the new post of general manager at Westland Associates Limited. He will manage the company's youth arts programme with special responsibility for the annual Music for Youth national festival and for the Schools Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
