Sue Owen, formerly early years development officer for Humberside, has been appointed principal officer for the early childhood unit at the National Children's Bureau.

John Baxter, head of Wells Cathedral School, is to be chairman of the Choir Schools' Association in succession to Richard Moore, head of the Cathedral Choir School, Ripon. He will hold the post for two years.

Sarah Mumford, previously responsible for the education department at Eureka! The Museum for Children, Halifax, is now head of education at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, Bradford.
