City College Birmingham

A year after it was threatened with closure over its finances and recruitment, City College Birmingham has appointed a permanent principal in what it said was a mark of its turnaround.

Formerly vice-principal in charge of curriculum, Stuart Cutforth said: "For me, this is not just any old principal's job - it's a case of being able to continue to support a college to which I have already become extremely committed."
