Peter MacLean, a 13-year-old pupil from Port Glasgow High, has won first prize in the 8-13 age-group in a Templeton Foundation essay competition on values. Some 1,600 students around Britain submitted entries on everything from love, sharing and honesty to coping with anorexia and bullying. Peter wrote about scouting and what it means to him.
