Leicester College is taking over a landmark arts venue in the city, giving students access to valuable work experience opportunities. Leicester City Council has announced that the college, which was recently awarded National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural Skills Founder College status, will run the former Phoenix Arts venue on a five-year lease. The college will work with the Alliance of Music Promoters Leicester to provide administrative, marketing, box office, front of house, and technical support delivered by students on advanced training programmes, managed by experienced professionals.
