Pinstripe generation get down to business
Figures from the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service show some 350,000 students throughout Britain want to study the subjects at university and college.
Scottish students continue to be more reluctant to study south of the border with some 900 fewer - down 13 per cent - applying for places in England. More want to stay in Scotland to study: 30,204 against 28,775 last year - up 5 per cent.
Equally, more English students favour Scotland. There are 4.1 per cent more want the benefits of a tartan degree, up from 23,751 to 24,721.
