Newcastle-under-Lyme College celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by encouraging more local employers to consider hiring an apprentice

The college is urging businesses to contact them to discuss the Government's new Apprentice Grant for Employers scheme, which offers a pound;2,500 grant for each 16 to 17-year-old apprentice they employ. The National Apprenticeship Service is offering 5,000 golden hellos nationally, but the offer is only available until March 31, 2010.
