Tony Blair was distinctly unimpressed by an online chat he took part in for the Government's TeacherNet website last Thursday. A laborious process of reading each question to him, then transcribing his spoken answer, seemed too much for a man used to quickfire Commons debate and a 24-hour news agenda. Asked to repeat an answer for a third time, the PM replied, blankly: "I can't remember - it was so long ago."
