If you think "podcasting" is just a passing fad (page 28), ride your mouse to the website of ex-teacher Leon Cych, Learn 4 Life, and listen to his 42-minute podcast interview with Becta ICT award winner Tim Rylands. Leon was at his desktop in London while Tim was at his own in the West Country intoning about his music work with pupils and his use of the computer game Myst in class.

More Radio 4 than radio ham, it was recorded on to an MP3 recorder via the (free) Skype internet telephone system. Leon is claiming it as the first Skype podcast for UK education. L4L is increasing it's audio and video broadcasting and looks like stepping up to give Teachers' TV a challenge.
