* It was very upsetting to read accusations of child torture in Israel (TES, March 5). However, it is vital to recognise that, as in many conflicts, children are also victims when they are used to further the conflict. To date, 29 Palestinians under 18 have carried out suicide attacks against Israeli civilians - including children, of course - and last week a child of 10 was found with a bag of explosives at an Israeli checkpoint. Palestinian organisations are responsible for this abuse and we should be forthright in condemning them.
