Police break kidnapping ring;In brief

TEN people have been arrested in Siberia after police broke up a kidnapping ring that abducted schoolchildren and held them for ransom. The suspects were charged with kidnapping an unspecified number of children and demanding 70,000 roubles ($US 2,770) for each of them. All the kidnapped children were eventually released.
