(Photograph) - Portrait of the artist: a two-hour special, 'Dublin Re-Joyces'. Radio 2, Friday, June 16, 10pm, marks what James Joyce scholars call 'Bloomsday', the day on which his mould-breaking novel 'Ulysses' is set. The novel is the account of a single day's journey around Dublin, and along with readings and discussion there are reports from the route of this seminal literary stroll. Painting by Jacques-Emile Blanche (1935).
