Postcode statistics

28th May 2004 at 01:00
When you have lived in a neighbourhood for a while and know your way around, it probably isn't overly disturbing to discover that you are twice as likely as the national average to get sexually assaulted, three times as likely to be beaten up or four times as likely to be robbed.

This may be offset by the discovery that local medical facilities are three times better and the value of your flat three times higher than the national average. Facts like these can be found at the Government's National Statistics website. Enter a postcode to uncover enough hard data to enliven any citizenship or geography lesson.
