We are astounded to learn that the introduction of the new pay scale means staff at our school face a pay cut.

Those with two management points will be losing pound;660 per year. Changes to the recruitment and retention allowances will take between pound;300 and pound;600 per year from every teacher. The Govenment will not be deducting the full amount in one year; instead it will claw back up to pound;250 per year from our salary increases.

It is immoral to cut pay without consent. Is it also illegal?
