I WISH to correct the comment attributed to me ("Schools accused of modern slave trade", TES, July 20). Azeez Manuels was offered a one-year contract by Lilian Baylis School following a lengthy interview. Unfortunately, after four days at the school, Mr Manuels withdrew his employment and his agency informed me he had found another position. At no time was he ever offered a term contract as the article stated.
