A headteacher is threatening parents with a pound;20 fine if they are late collecting their children.

Michael O'Keeffe, who has brought forward Friday's finishing time at Birmingham's Anderton Park primary to 2.20pm, said building work meant the playground needed to be clear.

He said the cash would be used to fund extra childcare.
