The pound;200m Internet CALL

The New Opportunities Fund has unveiled its pound;200 million Community Access to Lifelong Learning programme to help close the gap between computer haves and have-nots. Half the funding will go towards linking every public library to the Internet, with theremainder supporting a national network of ICT learning centres. These will complement the 700 being set up by the Department for Education and Employment in disadvantaged areas.
