Visitors to the museum of Liverpool Life can add to their understanding with an attractive History of Banking CD-Rom. Financial enterprise was vital to the city's expansion as a centre for the slave trade. The resource uses music and animation to show how the story developed "from quill pens to computers", including calculating interest by hand. A comprehensive and informative resource pack complements the fun. The CD-Rom is available free from National Museums Liverpool. Tel: 0151 478 4441; www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk
