Power of balloons

12th March 2010 at 00:00

Aberdeen is holding a schools science week, featuring the NSEW Aberdeen Challenge - the Air-Powered Racer, a "Great Egg Race"-style activity for classes to design, create and test their own balloon-powered vehicle. Workshops from nursery to S6 will investigate electricity, the stars, the school grounds and more. Most workshops are taken direct to schools, free of charge. On March 20, NSEW culminates in a Science Discovery Day at Aberdeen Maritime Museum and Satrosphere Science Centre, 10am-4pm.
