Practical failure

3rd March 2000 at 00:00
I HAVE just numbered my boxes for the GTC election and I am somewhat dismayed to discover that I must now cram the A3 voting paper into an envelope designed for A5 paper. This sense of dismay is not alleviated by my second discovery, which is that the address on the prepaid envelope is totally different from the one given in the coverng letter.

This is hardly a ringing endorsement of the GTC's skills of organisation. Perhaps they should warm up with a few simple practical activities before they start to make pronouncements on the finer points of educational policy?
