Prep time guaranteed

Teachers in Jersey will be entitled to guaranteed preparation and planning time following a dispute between the unions and authorities. After threats of industrial action, teachers in the tax haven will also be exempt from administrative tasks and lunchtime supervision and will have better maternity leave arrangements in future. Classroom unions the NUT and NASUWT also negotiated a pay increase of 2 per cent for 2010 and 2011.
