Pressure on in Wales

School governors in Wales have formed a new pressure group to campaign on behalf of schools.

At the launch of the Confederation of School Governor Associations in Wales in Llandrindod Wells, delegates condemned the Government's decision not to pay for the increase in teachers' salaries in full. The new confederation will press for a meeting with Welsh Secretary John Redwood to discuss the future funding of schools in Wales.
