Rude Mechanicals is a new business set up to "promote good practice in the teaching of design and technology in primary schools''.

The Kelso-based service is run by two former curriculum support teachers, Len McDermid and Dick Warren. Designed for the 5-14 curriculum, it offers resources, exhibitions, inservice training and Internet discussion groups for primary teachers.
