Prince's Trust backs Labour

4th April 1997 at 01:00
Prince Charles's charity for young, disadvantaged people says it is looking forward to working with Labour if the party wins the general election.

The Prince's Trust says that Labour's plans for education and training feature ideas long promoted by the charity, including homework clubs and community work for young people.

Executive director Tom Shebbeare said: "We believe we could deliver a great amount of Labour's citizens' service programme. There is a perfectly good deal to be struck."
