Principal leaves strife behind

The principal-elect of a Berkshire college is hoping for more peaceful times in his new post.

Howard O'Keeffe will take the helm at Bracknell and Wokingham college in September after leaving Salisbury college in Wiltshire on mutually agreed terms.

O'Keeffe was recruited to turn around the debt-ridden Salisbury but fell out with governors and was sacked, before being reinstated on enforced home leave.
