The best use of technology in schools will be recognised in the ICT Excellence Awards 2008. Winners will receive a cash prize to spend on equipment, training or other ICT-related projects.

The deadline for entries is April 30. Short-listed schools will be visited in June, July and September, and the winners announced at an awards ceremony in November.

The awards are run by Becta, the UK government agency that seeks to improve learning through technology.
