Project competition

7th September 2001 at 01:00
A new science competition organised by the Education Business Partnership and Bayer plc will be launched on the new Science for Life website: www.bayer.co.ukS4L next week.

Teams from Year 12 will be asked to develop science projects on the website's four main themes: the car, farm, home and human body. Thirty-six regional winners will gain a webcam with which to make a presentation to go through to the finals. In a live national final in April 2002, the 12 finalists will compete online for a trip to Bayer's research facilities in Germany and cash prizes for their school or college. Winners will be decided by an online "vote-a-thon". More details from the website or tel: 01635 563522
