BRING a saucepan lid and spoon or chopstick says the invitation to Atarah's Musical Picnic at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, May 11, organised by Children's Classic Concerts.

In its ninth year of introducing children to classical music, CCC has promoted live performances to more than 200,000 youngsters in Britain, Canada and Malaysia.

The programme, which includes English folk tunes, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and Joplin's The Entertainer, is devised and presented by Atarah Ben-Tovim.

Children from three upwards will be invited to act as extra percussion as well as join in the singing. Parents may well be advised to bring earplugs.
